Seaweed Extract Laminaria Ochroleuca
Brown seaweed, known also as “golden seaweed”, belongs to the Laminariaceae family.
Unlike the similar laminaria digitata seaweed, it is found in lower depths of the ocean. This seaweed is exposed to a high salinity level and changing sunlight. Since the seaweed completely emerges and submerges, it produces substances protecting from UV radiation.

Active substance obtained from the laminaria ochroleuca brown seaweed has several beneficial effects on the skin:

Clinical studies*
- Hydration: 10 women aged between 18 and 55 years with dry skin reported increased hydration from 23% to 77% only after two hours and from 30% to 82% after 4 hours.
- Anti-wrinkle effect: 20 women aged between 35 and 55 years applied a cream with Antileukine 6™ (2%) once a day for 56 days and 80% of them reported a significant reduction of wrinkle depth by 9%.
- Reduction in redness: only after the first application redness decreased by 11%.
