Acne is one of the most frequent skin problems, and it does not concern only adolescents. Pimples, blackheads and redness can be a struggle even in adulthood. How does acne develop, what makes it worse and how can you take care of problematic skin to keep it in balance? We are bringing you practical tips and useful information.
Problematic skin, acne and pimples can be extremely stressful. Acne is related mostly to hormonal changes during adolescence, but it often affects adults as well.
Acne often occurs not only on the face (including forehead and chin), but also on the back. It is a complex condition that, in addition to genetics and hormonal changes, is closely connected with regimen.
Caring for sensitive, acne-prone skin should be, above all, gentle.
However, regular care is not always sufficient, and treatment, which should be consulted with a dermatologist or at least a cosmetic specialist focused on acne, is necessary. Fortunately, long-term clinical treatment concerns only a small percentage of the population. The rest of us should know at least some basic information and principles.
What causes acne?
Acne is an inflammatory condition of hair follicles and sebaceous glands. If excess sebum production or a bacterial overgrowth occurs, follicles become clogged and comedones (i.e. whiteheads and blackheads) develop.
They may continue to become inflamed and turn into red papules, pustules or cysts.
The main triggers of acne are:
Acne mostly occurs around the forehead, nose, and chin, as well as the back and shoulders.
Hormonal changes, especially during the teenage years or periods of stress
Genetic predisposition
Excess sebum
Incorrect skin cleansing or the use of unsuitable cosmetics
Unhealthy lifestyle
Regular sleep, sufficient movement, balanced diet and stress management can significantly support the effect of cosmetic skincare.

Fundamentals of Problematic Skincare
Successful care for acne-prone skincare consists of gentleness and regularity. A suitable skincare routine has three steps:
1. Thorough cleansing
Remove impurities and excess sebum from your skin morning and evening
2. Toning
Refreshes, shrinks pores and balances the skin's pH
3. Hydration
Even oily skin needs moisture and protection
Acne-prone skin needs gentle yet thorough cleansing but not harsh stripping. Aggressive products can upset the natural skin balance and paradoxically result in even higher sebum production.
After cleansing, suitable hydration that helps restore and protect the skin barrier should follow.
The herbal Clear & Happy SOS Gel for local treatment of pimples is a gentle translucent gel in a practical tube, intended for oily and acne-prone skin.
Unique Formulation of the Clear & Happy Collection
The formulas are based on the HAPPY SKIN philosophy: a healthy, balanced skin is a happy skin.
The unique formulation includes herbal extracts that help remove toxins, impurities and excess sebum from the skin. Besides that, it provides intense, long-lasting and deep hydration, brightens the skin and creates a protective barrier against the harmful effects of the surrounding environment.

What to Avoid in Problematic Skincare
Soothing problematic skin and treating acne require patience. Use the product for 6 to 8 weeks, ideally, to objectively assess its effectiveness.
Do not leave makeup on your skin overnight
Do not share cosmetic accessories
Avoid aggressive adstringents
Do not squeeze pimples, otherwise you will worsen the inflammation
Use the products regularly for at least 6 to 8 weeks
In case of deep and painful acne, consult a dermatologist
What Else Can We Do to Support “Skin Well-Being”?
We should pay attention to overall lifestyle improvement, which includes physical activity, regular and quality sleep, a healthy and balanced diet, as well as inner peace and tranquillity.
Words from our development department
"Quality sleep, a light and balanced diet, less sugar, enough water, movement, and the ability to take a break are the foundation. It is often peace and inner balance that work wonders. You do not have to do everything at once. Start with small changes, in both skincare and lifestyle. Your skin will quickly show when you listen to it. If you give it gentleness, balance and respect, it will reward you with beauty and a healthy appearance."

Excessive hair loss, which can lead to thinning, is one of the most common challenges in hair care. It can be temporary, seasonal, hormonal, or it may be linked to stress, fatigue or lifestyle changes.

Winter is one of the most demanding periods for our skin. Low temperatures, biting winds and dry air disrupt its natural balance, often resulting in dryness, tightness and unpleasant sensitivity.
We have received a prestigious award in a prominent brand ranking published annually by the consultancy firm KPMG. The study evaluates the customer experience based on an extensive online consumer survey.

Winter is a test of resistance for our skin. Low temperatures, dry air from heating, and wind damage the skin's protective barrier and cause a loss of hydration. The skin becomes tight, dry spots appear, sometimes even irritation and redness.
In such a season, it needs particularly nourishment, soothing, and gentle protection.

Hair loss is a natural part of the hair cycle. However, if your hair gets thinner more than usual, or if you notice weaker hair roots, it may be a signal that you need to adjust your scalp care, or your entire hair care routine.
