How is a limited Christmas edition created? The story of CHRISTMAS PUNCH

What thoughts and ideas were behind creation of the limited CHRISTMAS PUNCH edition? What emotion are the products supposed to evoke in customers?

We wanted to create a collection with a scent that brings back beautiful Advent and Christmas memories, warms our hearts and takes us back to our childhood – when we came home from skating or winter walks with reddened cheeks and warmed ourselves with a mug of fragrant hot punch. 
A collection that will also remind us of the magical moments spent with friends at Advent markets or with our family at the Christmas table – full of comfort, laughter and the scent of fruit, cinnamon, cloves and citruses.

What was most challenging when searching for the right scent?

Trying to find a scent that will appeal to as many customers as possible is always one of the hardest phases of developing a cosmetic product. It is full of passionate debates, because everyone likes a different scent.
The assignment for the perfumers was fairly clear – a blend of spices, citruses, wine, tea and a Christmas vibe…. It was extremely important to us that the resulting fragrance was not ‘nauseatingly sweet or even sticky’, we tried to find a pleasant, elegant, but also appealing, sweetly warming blend of spices and fruit balanced by tea and wine notes.

How did we choose the products that would be included in the limited edition?

Which ingredients play a key role in the formulas and why did you choose them?

The formulas are based on Moravian wine or selected ingredients from grapes, such as grapeseed oil, extract or resveratrol, and also orange extract or essential oil. These ingredients are naturally associated with traditional punch and are also beneficial in cosmetic care. 
They help protect the skin against the effects of oxidative stress and contribute to its well-groomed and vital appearance, even during the harsh winter season. They help hydrate, nourish and repair the skin, which is especially appreciated at a time when the skin is exposed to cold and dry air. Resveratrol also has interesting rejuvenating effects.

And what about the design? What sort of first impression did you want this year’s Christmas collection to make?

After last year’s unconventional blue snowdrop, we wanted this year’s Christmas collection design to feel extra festive. Our aim was to evoke the warm, celebratory atmosphere of Christmas, reflect the fruity and spicy fragrance, and enhance the collection’s gift appeal.
We therefore chose a beautiful burgundy shade, complemented by motifs of cinnamon, star anise, orange, stylised holly as a traditional Christmas symbol, and elegant golden ribbons to enhance the feeling of receiving a gift.
As is typical for us, all the motifs have once again been hand-painted originals. They were created for this collection by our wonderful graphic designer Nikol Kirschnerová, whose beautiful illustrations you may already know from our POPPY collection. So, you won’t find any AI-generated artwork in our designs… 😊

And finally, who would you give the CHRISTMAS PUNCH collection to this year as a gift for Christmas?

I think CHRISTMAS PUNCH is the ideal family gift thanks to the range of products it contains and I will certainly give it as a gift to my cherished sister Zůza and my niece Mariánka, who are already looking forward to punch-scented showers, hand cream and candles. 
They have been in love with this scent for many months and cannot wait😊.
