Castor oil is a thick plant oil pressed from the seeds of the castor bean plant (Ricinus communis). It is known for its exceptional emollient, nourishing and strengthening properties. In cosmetics, it is often used to stimulate growth of hair, eyelashes and eyebrows, as well as to care for dry and cracked skin. 

Due to its high content of ricinoleic acid, it helps soothe irritation and creates a protective film on the skin that prevents dehydration. It is ideal for very sensitive, mature or rough skin.
