What is new about the Lavender & Thermal Spring Salt collection and why should we try it?

The lavender cosmetics have been included in Manufaktura range for many years. Why did you decide to launch this collection in new design?

Refitting permanent collections is typical of us. We do it in about 5-7 years. This way we are able to ensure that they keep up with the times in terms of formulation and package design.

How comes that this traditional herb has been permanently included in your range?

The lavender is a wonderful iconic herb and a star in the world of beauty industry for centuries thanks to its timelessness and popularity across generations. Its aromatherapy effects bring peace, nostalgia and harmony, which are valued much more in today´s fast-paced world than ever before.

Lavender fragrance relieves stress and tension, makes daily skincare routine more pleasant, soothes mind and body and promotes deep sleep.

Bára Čechová has been working for Manufaktura for more than 20 years. She brings new visions, proposes strategies, creatively participates in marketing, comes up with news and cooperates on development of both formulae and packaging design of the cosmetic products.

What is new about this collection?

In case of lavender cosmetics, we significantly changed mainly package design.

We tried to get it closer to younger people, so that is why we chose trendy pastel violet colour and amazing lightweight themes, including a tender dragonfly by our close artist Diana Delevová.

In terms of formulation, we maintained highly natural formulae, strengthened an anti-stress aromatherapy effect by means of essential lavender oil, enriched selected formulae in new caring active substances, used gentler preservation and complemented the collection with 1 new product – relaxing warming massage balm, which we are launching in one month.

Is it true that you use lavender from Pálava in your cosmetic products?

Yes, part of lavender comes from our great growers from the amazing countryside of south Moravian Pálava, where it thrives due to climate change. We are also proud to use lavender from our employees, who grow it in their gardens with love.

Last year we launched distillation of lavender essential oil directly in our production. During the days when lavender is being distilled, its scent envelops the whole area.

Lavender from sunlit Pálava gave a unique character to the collection. Together with our own essential oil it creates a unique authentic aromatherapy experience deeply entrenched in Czech countryside.

Which is your most favourite product from the Lavender collection?

The labels of the Lavender & Thermal Salt collection are decorated with watercolor dragonfly motifs by artist Diana Delevová.

I admit that lavender scent in beauty care is an acquired taste.

However, today I can't imagine my bathroom rituals without lavender foam, which turns water in the bathtub in the most fragrant, frothed, beautiful coloured and emollient bath, after which I feel relaxed and pleasantly fall asleep.
