This fragrant miracle is produced by steam distillation of rose petals, which are usually harvested by hand and early in the morning, before the sun is hot, because it is the biggest enemy during harvesting.
• Approximately 4,500kg of rose petals are needed for production of 1kg of rose oil (depending on the age of the plantation and climatic conditions). An experienced picker picks ca 20kg of petals per day.
